It might seem odd to have a selection specifically around traditional church plants, but they are a distinct group and have a lot to offer. Before the Mission-shaped Church Report in 2004 everything was called church planting, but now we have more of a specific understanding of a more long-standing, traditional model.
By this grouping we mean a new form of public worship started, generally in a secular building, with some children's work, and often appealing to people who have drifted away from church or have moved to a new area, especially new housing areas with no new churches attached. From this starting point the creation of community, mission and eventually interdependent churches would probably be the goal.
