Issue 27 The Village and Fresh Expressions - Is rural different?

Some say planting churches only works in urban areas.  A variety of stories are emerging to contradict that.  Others add that rural is fundamentally different.  The reality is more subtle.  What variety of people are in the countryside and why?  Can one expression of church, even the traditional, suit everybody?  Rural has always mattered.  It is growing in importance as more people move there.  It was high time to go and find out more…it led to two issues, this and the next.
